Restoration – works to date have included spindles, simple turned chair legs and replacement door knobs.
If you can bring the broken part or a duplicate then I am happy to attempt to make a similar replacement – I do not have copy turning facilities so prefer not to make more than one or two of the same part and avoid carrying out joinery work unless its a simple case of refixing the spindle after making it.
One of the lockdown benefits was that whilst I couldn’t open to sell, several phone calls led to commissions for the piece for a repair they’d been getting round to.
Commissioned works – crosses, a chess set and matching board, a stand for an interesting section of wood, a lidded bowl, finials, seed tray tampers, pestle and mortar – a selection of items are pictured below.
